    Dear Katie,

You don't know me, but I feel as though I know you. I'm you Aunt Anne's sister and I've been hearing stories and seeing pictures of you since you were just a small girl. She has been keeping us posted on your progress and sending us Paul's excellent email updates. You've been in my thoughts every day and I'm so happy to know that your family is seeing your smiling face once again. Please know that you, your parents, and Paul are in my prayers.

    Hi Katie!
We are thrilled that you are getting better. Paul has done an awesome job at keeping us informed about your progress. It has been our daily ritual to check the website to see how you are doing. You have been in our thoughts and prayers constantly. Hillary found a picture the other day of you and Blake in one of your "forts" back when we lived in Augusta. We all got a laugh out of it. We put it on the refrigerator. We still think the forts were kinda neat. Katie we love you. Hang in there and keep getting better!

Melrose, Ron and Paul we continue to think about you and pray for you too. Thanks Paul for your continued updates. They've kept us going.

Mel: Who? That's what Ron said last night when I called your home
again after I got the recorded message about Katie: You can tell Mercer friends who knew you before "Melrose". I just spent the morning looking at the newspaper articles and postings and you certainly are experiencing miracles and blessings. I have to run for now and I can share later with you the power of prayer but it is very apparent from this website and your family and friends that you are experiencing it minute by minute. Hope you have a wonderful weekend at HOME. Tell Katie she looks just like you did in college-and so pretty too. Karla Bobbitt Harrell

    Katie-
I met you briefly when you came to the Day Rehab program... my son, Mitchell, also had Encephalitis and was finishing the Day Rehab program.
I am so grateful that God has been so good to you and your family during this difficult time. You are a beautiful girl, and I know that He has big plans for you and your future.
I'm so glad you are doing well... and I will continue to pray for your continued strength and healing.
