    Melrose, Ron & Paul, they prayed for you as well. They asked that God's angels surround you and keep you strong.

    Dear Katie, Melrose, Ron and Paul, Many of your neighbors have their porch lights burning to let you know that we continue to pray for Katie's recovery. Light is a powerful symbol of God's everlasting power to heal...it is a sign of hope, warmth, strength and love. May this power diminish the pneumonia in Katie's lungs and heal her brain's infection so she will be restored to good health. Feel the warmth of God's love and those around you and stay strong. Churches in CA-NY-GA are all praying for you. Love, Fran and Ron Weber

    *Katie,
    "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask or think according to the power that works in us." (Ephesians 3:20) He will always be there for you girl. Even in rough times. I just wanted to let Katie and the rest of her family know that on Wed., Jan. 26, the Lord woke me up at 3:30 a.m. to pray for katie. It was the power of prayer. That's how awsome God is and i know that he is by your side every second of the day. I know you'll get better girl. We miss you and keep you and your family in our prayers always. Love you girl,

    Don't ever doubt the power of prayer - even if it is just to bring comfort and peace of mind until you are better. Without a user name and password I was unable to log on to write a personal note. However, I wanted Melrose to know that this is from Nancy Cisick, an old friend from 20 years ago. As you can see, this wonderful message board is getting around to thousands of praying people.

    Katie, hang in there. You don't know me but you must feel the strength of my prayers and someday we will meet. You are foremost in my daily thoughts and number one on my prayer list (there are some other very special people you keep company with on that list!) To Paul, your mom and family, you must continue to believe - I am now 57, when I was 14 I was in a terrible car accident and had severe head trauma and was expected to die. I was unconscious for 2 1/2 weeks and during that time developed the staph infection. The doctors did everything they could for me, medically, but had little, if any, hope that I would live - GOD pulled me through and HE is there for Katie. Seems "funny" to say I love someone I have never met, however, I do love your Katie and I am here for her and for you to help her find the strength to fight off the infections invading her body. I thank God that my tennis partner, Susan Thomas, told me about Katie and asked for my prayers. One more time, I LOVE YOU, Katie; c'mon, you can do it! Forever your friend, Frog Rappoport

    We were saddened by the news of Katies illness.

    Lord, You invite all who are burdened to come to You. Allow your healing hand to heal her. Touch her soul with Your compassion for others. Touch her heart with Your courage and infinite love for all. Touch her mind with Your wisdom, that her mouth may always proclaim Your praise. Teach her to reach out to You in her need, and help her to lead others to You by her example. Most loving Heart of Jesus, bring her health in body and spirit that she may serve You with all her strength. Touch gently this life which You have created, now and forever.

    Katie and Family - I and many others (who you don't even know) are praying without ceasing - asking The Great Physician to touch your body with His healing power and bless you with a full recovery, that His name may be glorified.

    The Lord places you on my heart many times throughout the day and night. This morning during my quiet time, I was led to the following which I hope will bring you comfort:

    "From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind;
    from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth -
    he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do...
    But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
    on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
    to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine.
    We wait in hope for the Lord;
    he is our help and our shield.
    In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.
    May your unfailing love rest upon me, O Lord,
    even as we put our hope in you." Psalm 33: 13-15, 18-22

    Even now, I thank God for your total recovery. May the knowledge that many are interceding on your behalf bring you great comfort and hope.

    Parts taken from 'The Power of a Praying Parent'
    Dear Lord,
    We come to You in Jesus'name and give Katie to You. We're convinced that You alone know what is best for her. You alone know what she needs. We release her to You to care for and protect. Thank you Lord for the precious gift of this child. Because Your Word says that every good gift comes from You. Help us to live in the joy and peace of knowing that You are in control. As 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says, 'Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.'
    Lord, protect, heal and comfort Katie and this family now.
    Amen

    Hi Paul! It's your old friend Jenny ( Johnson) Kwon. My mom heard about your sister and passed on the news to Katie and me. Your family is in our prayers. We pray for God's healing and that His perfect peace would guard your hearts.

    I pray that Katie will continue in this fight, and that the doctors will figure out exactly whats wrong with Katie. I pray they will be given the guidence the need to figure out not only whats wrong with Katie but whats worng with all their other patients. I pray just that Katie will stay strong in this battle and that she'll keep her head high. Kylie
