    Dear Katie,
    All of the Thomas' continue to pray for you everyday. The first thing we do in the morning is check to see if Paul has posted another update. Then, Laura Beth prints them out to take to school to share with her friends and teachers who now care about you and pray for you. We all have faith in God that He will continue to supply you and your family with the strength that you need to work through this illness.
    " The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." Numbers 6:24-26

    Katie, Paul, Melrose & Ron,

    We hope that through all of our prayers you feel Jesus’ arms wrapped around you in love, comfort, support and protection.

    Your strength and faith in this challenge are a witness to all of us - please know you have our support and prayers.

    Each day we are praying for you...Your Trinity Family

    In our distress we cry out to the Lord;
    We pray to our God for help.
    He hears us from his sanctuary;
    Our cries reach his ears.

    We will not be discouraged
    We will not remain sad
    We place our hopes in God!

    The Lord saves the godly;
    He is their fortress in times of trouble.

    Be still in the presence of the Lord,
    And wait patiently for him to act.

    The Lord hears his people when they call to him for help.
    He rescues them from all their troubles.

    Many will see what he has done and be astounded.
    They will put their trust in the Lord.

    Whether on the road or at home, each morning, all through the day, and right before bed,
    I look to the web site for updates. ( Thank you, Paul)

    Please know that you are a constant in our thoughts, prayers, and hearts.

I am in the midst of lions' I lie among ravenous beats- men whose teeth are spears and arrows, whose tongues are sharp swords Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth. They spread a net for my feet- I was bowed down in distress. They dug a pit in my path-but hey have fallen into it themselves. My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. Awake, my soul! Awake, harp and lyre! I will awaken the dawn. I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing of you among the peoples. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the skies. Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth."
    "Even in the midst of lions you are not alone. When all you can see is darkness, the light is there. When all you know is death all, all you feel and long for is death, the life is there. All you must do is reach for it. Ask to see and you shall see most clearly."- Krystal Meadows, ACS sophomore.

    Katie,
    I have missed you so much at school. Sometimes I look around the room knowing that someone is missing and I want to cry when I look and see your empty desk. I came by on Thursday to see your family knowing that I probably wouldn't get to see you. But to my joy and surprise, as someone directed us towards the back of ICU, my mom exclaimed as we passed your door, "Anna, there's Katie!" We only got to see you for a second before your mom came out and the nurse closed the curtain to prevent germs. Your mom was in such good spirits. I know it is the Lord. I was so priveleged to get to see you although you were'nt awake. It was such a comfort. I am constantly praying for you and your family as well as my whole church family is praying for you. I love you and can't wait for you to come back!

    Dear Katie and family,
    I read all of your updates last night and think that you have a pretty special brother who can share your story with us. I pulled out pictures from our ski trip to Whistler and a few others your mom has sent during the years and placed them on the refrigerator (a most honorable place to be). I promise to say a special prayer for you each time I look at your photo (and all during the day, as well). My friends are also praying for you and your family and have put you on the prayer list at their churches. We're going to "pray you back to good health". Stay strong and keep fighting.

    Katie,

    You have been such a huge impact in all our lives through out this hard time in your life, but knowing that God is laying his hand on you and will help you through shows us the miracles and what prayers really can do. I have been praying constantly ever since I got the phone call from ALison Evans. You are so strong and I know you can pull through this struggle. I'm ready for you to come to school cause I haven't gotten to see your simling face in the halls as I have at church and seeing you lifeguard in the summer. You truely are a blessing in everyones lives. Stay strong and know how much we love and miss you! Jermiah 29:11-13

    Katie,
    It is me again, that pesky elementary computer teacher. We prayed for you today in devotions as we do everyday. I just know that G-d is going to do something wonderful in your life through this. I just wanted to let you know I still pray for you every time I pass your picture in the hall. We love you and miss you terribly.

    I've added Katie and the York Family to the prayer list of our church and Sunday School Class at First Baptist in Aiken. Though I don't know Katie, I do know Ron and I can only amagine the travail through which all of you are going. There must be a lesson here someplace. We can only trust in God at a time when medicine seems so insufficient.

    Hey Katie,
    I just wanted you to know that I and my church are really praying for you! I sang the song, "You Raise Me Up" today in church and shared with my church family how that song has taken on a whole new meaning for me now that you are going through all of this. I dedicate that song to you. I know God will raise you up and you will stand on mountains and walk on stormy seas as you do awesome things for His kingdom when you share your testimony some day. He is preparing you for incredible things, Katie, we just have to trust in His plan and wait. It's so hard and we all miss you so much! My church family has not ceased to ask about you everytime I see them and they are just bathing you in prayer all the time. We list updates about you on our church bulletin board under a picture of you, me, Myra, and Whitney at the ring ceremony. Everyone comments about how beautiful you are. I reply that they haven't seen anything yet, they haven't met the beautiful person behind the face to complement it. I miss you so much, Katie. I love you!
    In Christ,

    Dear Katie,

    As I check on your progress every day and pray for you, all I can picture is your beautiful smile. Your sweet spirit radiates and touches the lives of all those around you. We are so eager to see that beautiful smile again. Isaiah 40:28-31 reminds us of God's magnitude, power, and sovreignty. The passage ends with letting us know we will "mount up with wings as eagles". Just know that when this trial is over, you will be soaring beautifully. God is our healer and our protector. You are in the best hands possible! We are constantly praying for you.

    Love,
    Coach Conn
