Katie Update #4
Just a quick note to say that Katie has taken a bit of a downward turn.
She has developed pneumonia (fluid in the lungs), which is a relatively
common complication, but a serious one. The doctors are working hard to
decide what steps to take to combat this problem. While she is in her
comatose state, she can't cough up the fluid in her lungs and the
ventilator that she is currently on is complicating matters. That is
about all we know right now, but please keep praying and asking God to
keep Katie strong in fighting this new ailment, as well.

Katie, Ron, Melrose,Paul and all,
I am so sorry to hear about the latest setback. But we continue to have faith that she will pull out of this. I doubt that any of you saw Trinity's service on TV this morning so I just wanted you to know that Steve prayed for you all during the pastoral prayer, and the childrens time was devoted to praying for Katie. In the 30 years I have attended that church I have never seen that happen. The Holy Spirit is with you. Keep the faith,
With love,
Lucy

Hey... I just wanted to let the family know that we have prayer chains spread out as far as Iowa and Louisiana. Churches and schools are praying for Katie and the family... and the friends. We intend to have churches in North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida by the end of Monday. We are all praying for her recovery. This is a time in which we must all fully rely on God to pull Katie, and us, through. 3 John 1:2
